Volunteers are the backbone of this event! Whether you're a student, professor, alum, or community member, your expertise and energy is incredibly valuable. Anyone who wants to get involved is welcome! If you are available at any point during the event (especially Sunday at 10am, when we prepare for the Showcase), please fill out the form linked below; even an hour of your time can be a great help!

If you attend during the jam (Friday 9am through Sunday 10am), your role will be supporting the participants, whether that be with technical experience or
with brainstorming, soundboarding, and general feedback. Since the Makeathon is open to any project, it is difficult to ensure
there will be someone with experience with every kind of project, but oftentimes simply an interested and energetic third-party
can be just as helpful.
There are two hours between the final project deadline, at 10am, and the showcase, at 12pm. We are hoping for help before the showcase,
although it is difficult to foresee how much logistical work will be needed to present the projects.
Participating in any kind of hackathon-like timed event can be intense; volunteers are essential to ensure
teams are supported through logistical issues and burnout, and can showcase a finished project on Sunday.
